Timoleon Veremis, known as Leon of Athens, moved to London in 2012. His material, first released in Greece, was inspired by a country in crisis, making headlines there and as far afield as the New York Times and within just a few months he was playing to audiences of over 10,000.

In the UK he has been building interest with many magazines including: Q Magazine (Track of the Day), Clash Magazine (Premiere), Record of the Day, Subba Cultcha (Artist of the Week) Amazing Radio (Record of the Week – Gill Mills) and God is in the TV (Track of the Day).

His album “Global” was produced by Tony Doogan (Mogwai, Belle & Sebastian) and recorded in New York at Grammy winner Dave Fridmann’s studio (Flaming Lips, MGMT)
