Rename Truth? Alexander di Vasos
Truths change constantly. Presumed truths prove ever less durable. Rights are renamed and the facts stagger along behind. In his solo exhibition “RENAME TRUTH?” at Nhow-Berlin, German-Greek artist Alexander di Vasos picks up on socio-political themes with an anthropocentric focus.
Di Vasos uses a unique silicon-based technique that gives his colorful and humorous large-format works an elasticity and texture that reflects our time – a time in which words and meanings are warped and distorted so that their previously clear meanings must be redefined.
Alexander di Vasos was born in Kinshasa and lives in Berlin.
His works are on display at Nhow-Berlin from April 12 to August 6, 2013.
